Thankful Thursday 11/16/2017

Happy Thursday! I can't believe we're halfway through the month and there are only 46 days left of the year. This is what my happiness box looks like now and for most days, I will continue with small slips. I wanted to add some bigger pieces of paper, but for most days until 12/31, I will be using 4x4 note slips again. I don't think the box will overflow - I'm proud of myself this year. Last year, I didn't fill the jar as much as I wanted because I ran out of room; I wanted to do something different this year and it has been successful so far. I am thankful for all of these moments I will get to read right before the ball drops on 12/31/2017.

From 11/2

As of last night - 11/15.

Last night Ms. Rina returned from Israel. She brought me home a beautiful bookmark. I am so thankful for her and her kindness. I loved hearing about her stories about Israel and Jordan; one of these days I want to go.

I'm also thankful for peaceful days and friends. The temperatures have finally cooled and I can now enjoy longer walks. I love getting out because exercising seems to cheer me up, as well as finding solutions to problems. These are the days I enjoy.

What are you thankful for?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Your happiness box is a great idea. At the end of the year it allows you to count your blessings as you review all the good times you had and friends you made over the previous twelve months.

Your friend is indeed very thoughtful for bringing you that woven carpet bookmark. It is exquisite!

I love your fall leaves. It is a foggy, chilly morning down here and it makes me feel like going for a walk. I intend to do just that.

Have a happy and thankful Thursday, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi Shady,

That is true! I am thinking about taping the Happiness Box opening. I think I will instead of taking pictures one by one. I can take pictures afterward. I'm really looking forward to seeing what 2017 brought me.

I love Ms. Rina and I am thankful that she thinks of me. I still have to wear the bangles she gave me. Sometimes it's hard because someone at my full-time job doesn't like it and sometimes I forget to bring them to put on in the library. The library doesn't care.

Hope you have a great weekend, dear friend!
