Welcome to my blog!

When I came home from work this evening, mom exclaimed that the milkweed she had in her garden had a few caterpillars on the leaves! She took me outside and showed me the tiny caterpillars crawling around. While mom had to go to a local park to gather more milkweed, the milkweed she gathered at the local park had Monarch eggs on the leaves! The eggs look like little white pimples.

I'm excited about these caterpillars because I remember the fun we had raising them two years ago. We weren't expecting to find any this year because the weather has been rainy, humid, and hot; this was a pleasant surprise!

I'll update as much as possible during their life cycle!

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

This is very exciting, but I can hardly believe it was two years ago that you were raising and releasing those butterflies. Time is passing more and more quickly it seems. I hope those dimpled leaves yield a crop of pretty butterflies. I will be eager to check their progress in future posts.

I'll be back to see you again tomorrow on Thankful Thursday, dear friend JM. Take care!
