Paddington Bear

This morning I finished reading Michael Bond's A Bear Called Paddington, which chronicled his adventures with his new family: The Browns. This was my first time reading the Paddington series and I can honestly say I love Paddington because he is so cute and friendly. He's a bit naive, but since he traveled to the UK from the Darkest Peru, he is still learning. I loved reading about the trouble he gets into at restaurants or when he visited the beach, stood up to a conman, had his picture taken, but then was lost on the beach. His family found him, but his adventures were laughable. He has a great sense of humor.

The other day, I was reading an article about what inspired Bond's writing. He was shopping for his children before the holidays and saw a bear in a store near Paddington Station. Paddington Bear started out as an adult series, but then the focus shifted to children.

I am a bear collector and have thought about writing bear adventures too. Could you imagine the ones with Wesley? I think I might have to start some stories about him. If I don't publish them, they will definitely go into my autobiography. Though, I think it'd be fun to publish Wesley stories.
