Elmwood Park Zoo | July 9, 2017

Last weekend the Elmwood Park Zoo opened the zoo to Upper Merion residents, free of charge. Mom, dad, and I went on Sunday. We decided to go when the Elmwood Park Zoo first opened at 10 so we could beat the heat and humidity. Mom only had to pay for feeding the giraffes and we all had a great time.

I just love the Elmwood Park Zoo.

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Looks like you had a wonderful day at the zoo. I love zoos as long as they make an effort to provide a clean, natural habitat for the animal residents. It was nice to see pictures of those bats hanging upside down. Mrs. Shady and I visited the bat cave at Carlsbad Caverns, NM, but didn't get to see any of the reclusive creatures. When she and I visited the Naples (Florida) Zoo a few years ago we bought bunches of those long lettuce leaves and had a ball feeding the giraffes. It looks like you enjoyed doing that, too.

Thanks for showing me highlights of your trip to the zoo and have a great weekend, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi Shady!

My dad and I love bats. We donate to this bat sanctuary in Cool, TX and I love seeing the reclusive residents.

I love the EPZ and how well they take care of their animals. Most of the zoos I have been to on my travels, it looks like most zoos take very good care of their animals.
