Thankful Thursday 4/6/2017

Happy Thursday, dear readers! You know what that means, today is thankful Thursday!

I'm thankful for my library coworkers and what they do for me. I am thankful they are like family. Last night, one of my coworkers was going through magazines and found someone had left poetry books they didn't want. She gave me one and it turns out, the book is a collection of contest entries. I was actually looking into entering the contest last week but didn't want to buy the book to see their requirements. Now I don't and I'm thankful that my coworker gave me the book so I can read it, then write a poem for a contest.

I'm also thankful for dad. He always makes my lunches and the other day he made me ants on a log. They were delicious.

The weather has also been gorgeous for the past few days, though today is rainy. I am thankful for the nice days, though.

GREEN! :)

What are you thankful for?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

You can indeed be thankful that you are surrounded by nice, thoughtful coworkers. Not everyone has them. How lucky that you received from a coworker a poetry contest book that you had been wanting.

I never heard of ants on a log. Is that a Philly thing? The combo of celery, peanut butter and raisins looks yummy!

Down here this morning we had a squall line push through. Lightning knocked out our power for a bit and we got heavy rain, but we are thankful because we had been experiencing a prolonged drought.

Have a super day, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi, Shady,

I'm not sure if it's a Philly thing, but I do know it's a kid thing! I see tons of children's recipe books with this concept. It's fun and I could see why this would be included.

I had an interview for a third job on Thursday. After the interview, I saw the lightning dance around. I took Lyft to my library job - I wasn't going to get electrocuted while waiting for the bus!

Have a great day, dear friend!
