JUNK | Philadelphia Museum of Art | March 31, 2017

Last Friday I saw a performance at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for their last Friday monthly entertainment. The performers were called JUNK, in homage to Marcel Duchamps, and it was an interesting show to say the least. Let me share the pictures and videos with you.

Hope you enjoyed!

Good golly, Jessica, that JUNK show certainly was bizarre, especially the nekked man doing a gymnastics routine and artistic dance on a toilet. I wish I understood by looking at the pictures and vids exactly how the various segments of the show relate to painter/sculptor Duchamps, pioneer of the Cubism art movement. Can you explain?

Thanks for sharing the highlights, dear friend JM, and have a fabulous weekend!

    1. Hi, Shady,

Duchamps has a toilet piece, which is why JUNK had that finale. Other than that, I'm not really sure. I wasn't too impressed - I saw them for free with my membership, but I don't think I'd pay to see JUNK perform. It wasn't my style and I was left scratching my head too.
