What a busy month! Between NaPoWriMo, saving for Canada, and working, I'm glad I had some time for myself. I will also update y'all on progress.
We had Chick Fil-A for lunch. It had been a year since I last had it.
Cute bears at a supermarket.
Acme sells these. I love the flattering mouse.
Awesome lunch at Ikea! I had salmon with lingonberry and marzipan for dessert.
One of my library co-worker's had a birthday party.
Mom installed a game for Mimi on her phone. She loves that app.
I was good to go!
Two scrapbook pages for the library display in May.
Pretty full moon.
I loved this lassie dog.
Writing from Starbucks.
Only on South Street.
Warm day - both in King of Prussia and Toronto.
I'm glad Andrew isn't tired of me sending him these memes.
Post Malone is awesome!
Creature of comfort!
The making of a unicorn frappucino.
A teenager I gave the task of taking pictures of me, decided to take pictures and videos of himself with his friends. Typical teen, I guess.
HAPPY EARTH DAY!
Happy Record Store Day!
Love Trader Joe's.
Upcoming entry about the Draft.
This is what I posted on Instagram:
Final day of NaPoWriMo. My entry:
|And finally, our final prompt – at least until next year! Today, I’d like to challenge you to write a poem about something that happens again and again (kind of like NaPoWriMo/GloPoWriMo). It could be the setting of the sun, or your Aunt Georgia telling the same story at Thanksgiving every single year. It could be the swallows returning to Capistrano or how, without fail, you will lock your keys in the car whenever you go to the beach.|
Another month has come and gone,
but this time I managed to save;
Canada here I come! $1000 saved,
donated by wonderful friends,
every penny from work and sales!
Final month is in sight--$1300 short,
gotta keep motivated,
have faith, keep hope alive,
in a year you've come so far;
just keeping going,
keep your eye on the June 1st prize.
Long road keeps getting shorter;
march forward with pride,
now that you've secured the invite,
only after passing a test after test
proving your capability and uniqueness.
Rigorous, but you made friends in the process;
Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, India,
too many locations to name!
Unique dreams and hopes to move abroad,
verily, keep up the good work,
watch what you spend, watch what you sell,
X-Ray your finances, join contests;
zany poems will get you far!
I'm only $1300 away from my goal for Canada. I have one more month until I can accept the invite. I can definitely achieve my goal before June 1st. I'm excited! I will be budgeting carefully again this month like the past two. I'm proud of myself.
