Thankful Thursday 3/2/2017

Hello and Happy March! Today is also Dr. Seuss's birthday; I hope your day is filled with Seusslike fun.

Today is also Thankful Thursday and I have a lot to be thankful for. I was invited to apply for residency in Canada. I have three months to apply and I'm going to wait until I have some more money in the bank. I am $5,000 away from my goal. I'm going to be looking at freelance work, I even signed up for Task Rabbit. I'm thankful for this opportunity and I'm thankful for all those who have supported me.

If I pass everything, I should be a permanent resident in six months. I have my fingers crossed.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Wow, that's fantastic news, dear friend, and your happiness is mine. I hope everything moves forward according to plan and that you will be settling into your new surroundings in Canada by the end of the year. Take it one day at a time and you'll get there!

    1. Thanks, Shady. I have three months to respond and I'm a few thousand shy of my goal. I was going to respond once I have it. I'm thinking of setting up a GoFundMe, then freelancing to supplement the two jobs I work.

  2. I am thankful for your continuing friendship with me, Jessica-chan! ^o^ As well as the wondrous delight of a hot cup of green tea, and having healthy hair which survives any torture I put it through! Today I am working through a Gandhi thesis and how the book I had from the Exton library (here's its GR link) relates to how I currently act towards others, since my speech therapist wanted me to write it.

What is Task Rabbit like? I could look it up, but I'm busy writing for when I see that therapist next tomorrow morning.

    1. ::hug:: You've been a great friend to me over the years; I'm thankful for your friendship!

It's basically an online database of jobs like housecleaning, event planning, delivering, and other odd jobs like that. They pay decently, though caution does have to be taken.
