Thankful Thursday 2/16/2017

Happy Thursday! I can't believe we're halfway through the second month of 2017. I have a lot to be thankful for today.

As you have been reading, I had a successful polar plunge on Saturday, and I have to thank dad for taking me despite his sickness. I am thankful for dad, particularly as he helps me out like that. I appreciate it and love him.

From the 2016 polar plunge.

I'm also thankful for my library coworker. She gave me this ball chair last night that I can use at home to warm up for skating and once I get a job where I can use it. I am grateful for all that the library does and what some people at my office job do for me.

In the morning and when I'm writing, I like to listen to the local classical station. Yes, I love classical music because to me it is relaxing. It also makes me happy. On weekday mornings at 7:15, the station holds a Sousalarm and people can be inducted into their club. If one is inducted, they get a dedication on air and a certificate in the mail. I decided to nominate myself. I received an e-mail from the DJ:

I'm excited for May 10! I feel thankful for this opportunity.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

I hope your dad is feeling better by now. My hat goes off to him for being such a trouper and showing support as you took the icy plunge. I have one of those stability balls and use it practically every day as part of my evening workout. I occasionally listen to classical music to "cleanse the palate" after overdosing on pop, hip hop, rap and metal.

    Happy Thursday, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi, Shady!

Dad is feeling 100%. He recuperated on Monday and was feeling 100% by Wednesday. Huzzah!

I am going to start using the stability ball this weekend. Any word of advice in regards to using one? I have never used a stability ball before.

Me too! After seeing a heavy metal concert last night, I think I am due for some classical music to unwind tonight.

      Happy Friday, dear friend!
