A Visit to the Kawaii Kitty Cafe 2/24/2017

The past few days have been extremely beautiful in the Philadelphia Area - high 60s, low 70s - and I decided to take advantage of the weather yesterday. Since this week was emotionally all over the place, I decided to make reservations for the Kawaii Cat Cafe because cats are the best medicine. I wasn't wrong!

Affigato. Cappuccino and ice cream.

One of the cats was interested.

So glad the Cat Cafe had this sign hanging up...

Close-up of Spaghetti.

Was so glad Spaghetti let me hold her! I was told she could be moody...

...she wasn't moody for me.

We really connected.

Nothing beats a cat's love!

I love this place. I love the cats and I love spending time with the cuties. After I left the Kawaii Kitty Cafe, I decided to walk over to the Vinyl Altar to buy a Mayhem CD. I ended up buying a Mayhem cassette, an Inquisition CD, and a poster for my scrapbook. Nothing beats an evening of cats and heavy metal. :) I thought it was perfect before going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Cats and Metal - the ideal combination to boost your spirits. :) I remember you going to the Kawaii Cat Cafe last year. What a great idea for an eatery. I'd love to experience it. I like the pic of you holding Spaghetti. Cats are notorious for being cold and aloof, and it is a wonderful feeling when you can befriend a kitty and have it shower you with attention and affection. I have the highest praise for the Kawaii Cat Cafe for putting that sign in their window. Seems these days more places are likely to hang the same list out front along with the words: KEEP OUT!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi, Shady,

I agree and a lot of shops on South Street had the same signs. It's so nice to see and I hope more places elsewhere around the US start hanging the same. Though, I think businesses around the world might as well because it seems like the Trump Effect is badly affecting other countries as well.

I think the Kawaii Cat Cafe and Vinyl Altar need to partner and hold a "Cats and Metal" night. I think that could be fun! Have you ever seen the photographs of black metal musicians with their cats? It's amazing.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend as well, Shady!

  2. You and Spaghetti look good together.

    1. Thank you, Janie. I know my Mimi wouldn't appreciate me bringing home another cat, though. :(

  3. People who works there are some of the sweetest people I've met. Save yourself some time and just go there. Everyone at Chicago venues here is sweet and ask how you've been, even though normally staff keep their heads down.
