Brexel Cafe

Before I left the Philadelphia Museum of Art, I checked Google to see if there were any Middle Eastern restaurants near the museum instead of going all the way back to South Street, then traveling back near the Philadelphia Museum of Art to head home. It made more sense to find a restaurant close by. I found the Brexel Cafe and decided to give it a try.

I'm glad I did! It's a hookah bar, but they do serve food. However, the restaurant is totally halal and no alcohol is served (and you can't bring your own since that is haraam). The soft drinks they have and the tea they serve make up for it, though! Even the food is tasty. I had the lamb buryani. It wasn't badly priced either.

Brexel Cafe is located on N. 33rd Street in Philadelphia.

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Wow, the Brexel Cafe was an excellent discovery for a food connoisseur like you. The place is charming, loaded with atmosphere, and that closeup of your meal is fabulous. Mrs. Shady loves eating lamb and also enjoys preparing lamb dishes. I will show her this post and maybe it will give her some ideas.

Chalk up yet another fine dining experience for you, dear friend JM!

  2. It was fate to come here at this place. It really paves the way for me to want to go out more. I was fortunate enough to have seen this excellent place with my friends. The entire space at NYC venues feel warm and intimate.

  3. Most people say that the best coffee partner are donuts, but there may also be other foods to accompany this well-loved brew. best dinners Noank CT
