Halloween 2016

Halloween 2016 was awesome and so much fun! I dressed up as the travel bug and it was a big hit at the Afghani restaurant I went to for dinner. The woman that was working that night at Sansom Kabob House on 14th and South couldn't stop commenting. Her daughter's cat costume was cute too. However, I did get some pictures while I was there, which was perfect for the travel aura.

My dinner: Ashak and Burani with black Afghani tea.

After dinner, I wanted to go to Starbucks. I made a wrong turn, but that's okay. Some row homes had candy out for trick-or-treaters. I did grab some and it's funny because this one man thought I was a child, told me some stores that were handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. I didn't go, I turned around and went to Starbucks.

I spent an hour in Starbucks drinking a Frappula Frappucino and working on my newsletter before I went to the Franklin Institute's Science After Hours: Creatures of the Night! I had a blast and I will let my pictures do the explaining. :)

I loved her cat costume!

Selfie with Ben Franklin!

Shark attack!

Someone I work with at the full time job was there. We were surprised to see one another! (She works in IT; we don't see each other often anymore since reimbursement moved.)

The dancing frog!

Pumpkin flame breather experiment.

Pumpkin Nitrogen experiment.

Copper and fire make green!

Lithium and fire make purple!

Me and the Madagascar Boa. It was a baby and very friendly!

The Divine Hands! Beautiful performance, which I videotaped:

Travel Bug visits space! To infinity and beyond!

Love the pumpkin faces. :)

Learning and dancing to Thriller.

Travel Bug stopped in the UK to have a chat with Brexit.

Tacos and Cats against Trump!

I hope you all had a great Halloween!

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

This is a super mega-post! Nobody goes as many places and does as many interesting things as you. Having that exotic meal alone would have been a big night for me. The Creatures of the Night exhibits were terrific. I loved the scientific experiments with jack-o-lanterns and the music. Watching you and the other people learn the zombie dance from Thriller was a real treat. I would love to be able to do that. What a magical night to cap off another fun-filled Halloween season for you!

Thanks for showing us the highlights of your evening, dear friend JM. Now get out there and vote early... and OFTEN! :)

    1. Hi, Shady!

It was so much fun! I even had the opportunity to go trick-or-treating a little bit. I'll post it on Friday with my blog party. Indeed. :) Halloween was special

Sadly, I can't vote until November 8 in PA. :( Wish I could vote early! You're welcome! Tomorrow I will have to check back on your blog.

  2. Looks like you had a great night. Love your costume.

    1. I did! I love Halloween, it's my favorite holiday. :) Thank you!
