Bread and Butter Refrigerator Pickles Recipe

Last Saturday I bought small cucumbers when mom, dad, and I went to a local fruit and vegetable stand. I bought six of the cucumbers because I wanted to make bread and butter refrigerator pickles since it's been two years.

Bread and Butter Refrigerator Pickles are easy to make. Here is the recipe:

1.5 cups of apple cider vinegar
1.5 cups of distilled vinegar
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon cardamom
1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons garlic
garlic
shallot
1-2 tablespoons pickling spice

Since I used 6 pickles, I put less sugar and pickling spice in the jar. Adjust to your needs. You can store these in your fridge for up to a month, but they're best served in 2 weeks.

Just made -July 5, 2016.

3 days in - July 8, 2016.

6 days in - July 11, 2016

Shake well every 2 days.

I'm excited for next Tuesday when we can eat these. They should be good!

Looks like you will all have a feast this summer. :) One of these days I have to make a salmon dish.
