A Victorian Tea With Theodore Roosevelt | Pennypacker Mills

This afternoon I ventured to Pennypacker Mills for a Victorian Tea to see President Theodore Roosevelt. While it was a typical summer day in the Philadelphia Area - high eighties with high humidity, Schwenksville had to be a good ten degrees cooler and Pennypacker Mills had a beautiful breeze. It made the tea enjoyable. I also sat with a nice middle aged couple and we shared our sandwiches. I don't eat ham (or pork) and gave the sandwich to the woman. Her husband didn't want to eat, so I had four sandwiches from his plate  and she had two. They also gave me the desserts. We shared conversation before Teddy Roosevelt came to speak.

Peyton Dixon was President Theodore Roosevelt and he did an awesome job. He sounded just like the former president and I learned a lot from his presentation. He also told some great jokes and provided some great laughs.

Sat on the porch at the end. Beautiful breeze.

I had a wonderful day out. It was nice and relaxing.

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

Pennypacker Mills seems to be one of your favorite destinations. It looks like a wonderful spot to enjoy a summer outdoor luncheon of tea and sandwiches and soak up some history. Lucky you for getting your picture taken with President Roosevelt! :) Peyton Dixon certainly looks like him. Mrs. Shady and I recently watched a documentary about the life of Teddy Roosevelt. We learned a lot and enjoyed it.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi Shady!

Yes! I love Pennypacker Mills and I'm glad Lyft could drive me there (dad picked me up). Pennypacker Mills is just so relaxing and peaceful. It is a great place to get away to for a few hours.

I was stunned with the likeness! I wish I could have taken a video because Peyton Dixon sounded just like President Roosevelt too! I wonder how long it took him to practice!

Have a wonderful week as well, dear friend!
