Thankful Thursday 5/5/2016

Happy Thursday! It's been a very wet week and while I am looking forward to the sun coming out again (we haven't seen the sun since Saturday!), I'm thankful that the rain has been keeping the pollen down. I like being able to breathe and I have been feeling better - my cold has subsided.

I'm nearing the end of my book. I plan on being done at the end of May; regardless of where it is, that is the plan. It's time to publish. I want to thank everyone who has been supportive during the writing of As Far As The Eyes Can See, especially those who have provided proofreading on poems. I really do appreciate it. I am also thankful for those that have expressed interest in purchasing a copy when it becomes available. I have someone at work and have a handful of people to e-mail, as they mentioned interest last year when I started writing this book.

This is the picture I am thinking of using for the cover As Far As The Eyes Can See. What do you think?

Though, I do like this picture too. I am going to write a poem about this. These pictures were taken on October 7,2014 when mom, dad, and I went to Green Lane Park.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

We got a good drenching yesterday in Florida. It lowered the temperature and reduced the pollen count. I was thankful for that and the breeze and cooler air felt terrific. What a treat for this time of year in The Sunshine State!

I'm happy to know you are getting over your cold. Spring and summer colds can be the worst. Those cover pictures are both beautiful and either one would work well.

I am thankful for the opportunity to celebrate my granddaughter's 19th birthday today. We will be going out to dinner with her and her family to a restaurant that serves great seafood.

    Happy Thursday, dear friend Jessica!

    1. Hi, dear Shady!

Happy birthday to your granddaughter! I hope dinner was enjoyed! :)

That does sound like such a treat for the Sunshine State. Hopefully you're free of tornado warnings because I have heard the South has been in a warning.

      Happy Thursday, dear friend!

  2. I want to buy your book, too. I hope you advertise it on your blog. I thought our cool weather was over, but it has returned.

    1. Hi Janie,

Thank you. :) I'm thankful for your support.

I will be advertising the book on my blog. I'm thinking of holding a Raffle copter giveaway too.

    2. Would you mind showing me how to do one, please?
