Soundtrack To Listen To as I Work on my Book

Hi everyone,

My deadline for my book is next Monday (May 30) since both jobs are closed for Memorial Day. I want to get a majority of this book done this weekend and thus I have not been blogging. Next Saturday I am going to Washington, D.C. for the day (have never been there before and I want to see it), and want to get most of the book done by then, so Monday is smoother sailing.

I have been walking and listening to music as I walk, but I listen to music as I write too. This is what I've been listening to lately:

Still Here is one my favorite songs from Drake's new album: Views. It definitely puts me in grind mode.

With that said, Drake was on SNL last Saturday! I watch SNL on YouTube the following day. It made laugh. I've become a big fan in the past three months.

I really like this Underoath song, Down Set Go.

Because Acrassicauda needs to be on this list!

I thought this would be a fun post to give an update about my book and to show readers more of what I listen to. I promise once I finish this book, I will get back to Toronto posts to finish posting about my trip from April. I look forward to finishing!

  1. Hi, Jessica Marie!

No other blog friend shares my eclectic taste in music to the extent that you do. I enjoyed the rap by Drake and the two SNL clips, especially Black Jeopardy! I dug the metal by Underoath, Slipknot and Acrassicauda. I've been collecting mainly female led metal but I also recently picked up CDs by Miss May I, Mudvayne, Like Moths To Flames, Coal Chamber and Devildriver. I also enjoyed your world music and banjo pieces.

I have a controversial post coming up in less than 5 hours and I am eager to get your impression/input.

Enjoy your Sunday, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi Shady!

That Drake rap was hard to find on YouTube! It's a lot of covers of the song. I was just happy to find this one. I haven't listened to Mudvayne in ages, or Coal Chamber or Devildriver! I should buy some of their songs.

I look forward to reading the post! I will check it out now!

Enjoy your Sunday too, dear friend Shady.
