NaPoWriMo Day #23: CN Tower Elevator Sonnet

When left breathless from looking at Toronto below,
I hold on tight to you, my valiant knight;
your warmth and comfort washes away anxiety and woe,
and thank God for forgiveness and hopeful light.
Our ears pop as we ascend Toronto's skyline,
we laugh as people below us shrink like ants;
desiring this art and artful bylines,
yet I look up again, his eyes are a trance
to take my mind off of my fears of heights,
as he begins to talk about the history and art,
(Like a pilgrimage, art students don't resist the fight
to rise at dawn to paint) and the drawings he started.
Calmness and belonging rise in this eternity,
that I am happy that I finally get to see.

Of course, I am always looking for title suggestions!
