Philadelphia Museum of Art and Asia on the Parkway

Every first Sunday of the month, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has a "pay as you wish" day. This morning mom, dad and I ventured down to Philadelphia Museum of Art. I paid $10 (normally $25) and had full access to the museum. Mom paid their fare and we ventured around. We went through the Audubon to Warhol Still Life Exhibit, which was my 2nd time through, and we thoroughly enjoyed that. After we went through that exhibit, we went through the Middle Eastern, Turkish, and Asian art exhibits. We ended the day at the museum with the armors.

We then had dinner at Asia On The Parkway. Mom and I figured dad wouldn't want to walk down to South Street to go to Cedar's (mom and I will go to Cedar's the next time the two of us go down - I will go to Cedar's in two weeks when I go to the Academy of Natural Sciences). We had a nice dinner - I had a Shirley Temple, then duck. So good.

  1. Hi, dear Jessica Marie!

You aren't wasting any time getting cranked up for the new year, getting out and about, seeing the sights, soaking up culture and sampling exotic cuisine. Mrs. Shady and I love to browse around art museums. She knits, sews and weaves and I know that she would have spent quite some time examining those magnificent giant rugs. You must have been in your glory taking in the Middle Eastern, Turkish, and Asian art exhibits. Looks like you enjoyed fine dining at AOTP. I can't remember the last time I tried duck.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend Jessica!

    1. Hi dear friend Shady!

I plan on going into the city in two weeks for the Academy of Natural Sciences, then going to Cedar's. :D I like walking around and taking pictures.

      You too!
