Hanging Out at Red Hook Cafe For Breakfast: A Picture Journey

On Sunday I ventured into Philadelphia. I hadn't been to Red Hook Tea and Coffee since November 2012 and I thought it was due. I had breakfast: blueberry bagel and chai tea latte; it was so good and I remembered why I loved going there for breakfast. I just love the punk rock vibe it has - very artistic and homey. I feel comfortable there and it's totally South Street.

Right now I am feeling tired. On Friday or Saturday, I will write part II that will be called "Mythologizing at the Academy of Natural Sciences, Dinner Hang out at Cedars, and Arabic Shopping on South Street." Maybe I'll include some poetry as well. :)

  1. Hi, dear Jessica Marie!

Remember the hit record "South Street" by the Orlons?

    Oh, baby.
    Meet me, on South Street,
    Oh, yeah,
    Hurry on down.
    Come on now,
    Meet me on South Street,
    The hippest street in town.

    Well you take,
West Street, East Street, North Avenue,
    'Cause I know,
    South Street's the best street,
To have a ball with you.

Red Hook Tea and Coffee certainly does look like a cool place to eat and sip a warm beverage on a cold day. I love the decor! I hope you guys aren't in for a blizzard in the days ahead. Take care, dear friend JM!

    1. Hi Shady!

I sure do remember that song! I just love South Street - most of my piercings were done on South Street. I have 13 of them; 8 of them were done there. I might have to do a blog post on my piercings with the stories behind them. :)

Shady, you'd love Red Hook Tea and Coffee! Friendly people too. And yes, we are in the blizzard zone. They're predicting 12-18 inches for our area. I'm actually looking forward to snow. :)

      Take care, dear friend Shady!
