Thankful Thursday 12/24/2015

Today I am thankful for Andrew. He sent me a beautiful holiday card. I am thankful for his friendship and being there for the past 4.5 years. I am also thankful he asked how I handle the holidays now and if it'd be kosher to send a Christmas card. I told him it would be okay, but I call it the holidays. I'm thankful when people ask before just doing.

I also sent Andrew a card and a little gift. I know how much he loves Lana Del Rey and I wanted to send him Lana's newest CD. He received it a few days ago and totally loves it. The Thoughtful Gift (Andrew's Blog). It makes me so happy and the card he sent me makes me so happy. I love snow and snowmen; this card added a big smile to my face.

I am also thankful for dad. He is off from work this week and has been taking me to the train station to catch the first train. He's been waking up at 4:45 AM (he usually wakes up at 2 AM for work) to take me at 5:30. I will be posting more when I post my year in review, but on November 30th I started a new full time job (I work that and I am still at the library). I wanted to start early this week since I took a half a day today. Anyway, I'm thankful for what dad did this week and what he does for me. I love my dad. :)

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hi, dear Jessica!

You started another full time job? Congratulations! I hope it is working out better this time. I admire you for keeping your library job, too. You must be very busy these days.

Be thankful that you have a dad this Christmas, dear friend. Many people don't. My dad died on Christmas day so you can imagine how much of a struggle it is for me to avoid holiday depression every year. I am very happy you and Andrew are exchanging greetings and gifts. We all have a lot for which to be thankful. I am thankful that you and I met this year and that I gained a new friend in you.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, dear friend Jessica!

    1. Hi Shady,

Yes! I was keeping it under wraps until I had been there for at least a month. I didn't want another situation like the other full time job. It's going well so far. I could send you a newsletter if you'd like, though I will be posting it on my blog in a few days.

That's true, Shady. Nan died on January 25, 2013 and around this time is when it gets sad. ::hug:: I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you a lot of peace and strength during this time.

I'm glad I gained you as a friend as well. I'm also thankful for Janie, The Armchair Squid, and a bunch of other bloggers. You all have made blogging brighter! :D

Merry Christmas to you and your family as well, dear friend Shady! :)

    1. I was shocked too. I was expecting after Christmas. Thank you again for asking - I really did appreciate that. :) I appreciate you and your caring in general, though. :)
