Thankful Thursday 8/13/2015

I was so happy when the author I met last Saturday in the Rittenhouse Square Barnes and Noble posted his pictures from his book signing. I bought a book and he signed it - his photographer took a photo of us.

Although it was crowded, Cornell Richards took about ten minutes out of his time to talk to me. I mentioned I'm a writer that publishes through Amazon and I'm working on my next book (though, I've been bad because I haven't worked on it for a week. I'll be working on it again tonight). He was excited to hear this, we talked about writing, and he gave me some advice on how to market my next book. I'm thankful for his advice and I am thinking once I am finished As Far As The Eyes Can See, I'm going to see if Barnes and Noble can have a book signing for me. Why not? What's the harm in asking? The worse they can say is no. And by not taking a chance, you will get nowhere. On the flip side, they can say yes, and I could have a good turn out of people. I'm thankful for Cornell's kindness and his inspiration.

I'm also thankful for family moments, like last night's dinner. I made a chicken dish and it turned out pretty well. It was tasty. However, my dad knows I take pictures of the food I cook and he always has to act silly for the pictures. My dad is a funny character and I'm thankful for that laughter.

What are you thankful for today?

  2. I'm glad Cornell Richards was nice to you ^_^ I'm not all the way here in consciousness.

Officially speaking, today I am thankful I got out to Marsh Creek with my father and kayaked around the lake for about an hour! We ran into one of my guidance counselors (who is father's coworker) and his son, also named Paul. They were fishing from the side.

Now that exhaustion is catching up with me, so I'll catch up with you later @_@
