Thankful Thursday 7/23/2015

I'm dogsitting for my aunt until Saturday. Last night Daphne escaped from the yard. After panicking for three hours and being in crisis mode, she was found by Animal Control near my house. Ironically, I was going to walk down that way, but since she has hip issues I didn't think she'd travel that far. Her neighbors, my other aunt, and animal control were big helps. I'm thankful for them all, but especially the neighbors and my aunt with all of their help, and my great aunt for driving Daphne back. Without them, who knows where Daphne would be. It is in this situation where it takes a community to help find a 12 year old dog with anxiety and hip displasia to bring her back home safe and sound. I'm very grateful.

  1. I would have been in full panic mode, dear Jessica Marie. My Cocker Spaniel Toto died two years ago at the age of 14 and I still miss her very much.

If you'd like to take a look, I created a post in her honor:

    1. Sure, let me take a look now! I'm sorry about your loss. :( It's never easy. I've always had cats. Our one cat died three years ago and we still miss her very much. Same with the cat we had for 19 years who died 8 years ago. It's always hard.

    1. Saturday afternoon.

My mother told my it takes six months for birth control to fully regulate hormones x_x so I am a miserable mess today. A nap might help better than all these books I have lined up to read.

I think you should take a nap.
