Welcome to my blog!

I have decided that I wanted to take a trip before my 26th birthday. As most of you know, I will be turning 26 on July 4th. It's expensive to be out on Independence Day and I have decided that I am going to take a day trip to NYC on July 3rd. It's my present to myself for my birthday.

I definitely want to go to Central Park. In the two other times I was there, I never had the time to go. I've always wanted to see Central Park.

I found this as well: Morbid Anatomy Museum. Time Out describes it as "This offbeat shrine to the macabre has a vast array of taxidermy, medical instruments, artifacts and slimy things—the perfect combination of creepy and cool." I asked a fellow blogger, Carmen, about other ideas. She likes the Time Out lists and said I should pace myself. The other two times I was there for a day trip only, we didn't use public transit. I have heard that NYC has awesome transit and it looks like the Morbid Anatomy Museum is easy to get to.

This also sounded neat: Aire Ancient Baths, but I know I most likely won't have time for that. Unless I do it last. Nah... some other time I believe. This could be an idea too: Poets HousePoets House (Time Out).

I'm still looking at other things. Moe, from Acrassicauda, is going to keep me posted about things to do as well. I sent him a message on Instagram and he said he was at work now, but after he's done he will look for me before he returns home. YAY for him and Carmen! I will be mapping out directions over the weekend. I will keep everyone posted. I'm so excited.

  1. I hope your trip to Central Park is worth remembering for the day before your 26th birthday, Jessica!
Dr Speh, Matt, and the rest of the Russian Club took me two years ago, besides to the Metropolitan Museum. I don't remember the other people there, though I think there were others.

NYC's public transit is essentially the only affordable way to get anywhere, besides by foot.

Yesterday I acquiesced to a friend so he could fill in the missing parts of a lingering fantasy of his. (?) It was interesting, and did not hurt me. I hope his power comes back eventually from the storm.

  2. I'd like to visit Central Park one day, too. :)

    1. It was amazing! You'd love Central Park!
