The Secret Life of Blogger's Blog Party 1/12/2015-1/17/2015

Doing things a day early since I want to watch the Packers tomorrow. I have my Cheesehead ready! It's been a busy week, but I feel hopeful and good about things.

Monday, January 12
Someone I follow on Instagram sent me a Valentine. This really made my day. I love Godzilla. :)

Tuesday, January 13

Ah, the books that are returned to the library! Two clown ice cream cones!

Mimi misses dad. He had knee surgery today.

Wednesday, January 14
I went to WCU to meet with the career lab. I took a day off of work at the library to visit the career lab. As I posted for Thankful Thursday 1/15/2015, it went well.

Then I went into Philadelphia for lunch before going home, then visiting dad in the hospital since he had the knee surgery and had to stay for two days.

Scenes from the hospital. It was a nice hospital.

Thursday, January 15

I had my hair cut. Apparently, my hair was still damaged from chlorine - so she did a treatment, then took two inches off and gave me some layers.

Dad came home and Mimi is so happy to see him! Dad is doing well - sore, but fine otherwise.

Friday, January 16
Very windy - I took a walk and it looks like I was visiting Chicago with how windy it was! I think I look scary here.

Dinner I made!

Saturday, January 17

I used to buy Revolver magazine all the time in the past to check out heavy metal bands (since I do love heavy metal as well). I stopped for a few years, but a few weeks ago Twiztid posted they are in the January issue. So, I bought it today.

The interviewer asked Monoxide, "what's the weirdest experience you've ever had with a fan?" I won't lie when I admit I was a bit nervous about his answer. I was thinking I had to take the cake (okay, maybe that's very self-centered of me, but sometimes I do fear that I come off as weird). But I read on and Monoxide answered: "Someone's mom asked us to take their son's ashes and sprinkle them at the Lotus Pod, the recording studio we were at. That was his wish and we did it." Awww, that's so sweet! I felt relieved though, but I guess in retrospect: I am tame!

Holy Devil, the one that sent me the Valentine on Monday, posted some music on iTunes. I checked out his songs and oh man, I love them! He's really talented and I like his style. Y'all should check him out on Amazon and of course, iTunes. You won't regret it. :)

  1. I like your haircut. WCU has buildings that look like my Alma Mater.

    1. Thank you!

Yeah, I think the school was built in the 1870s? A few of the buildings remind me of a church.
