First Snowfall of the Season

Today we had our first actual snowfall that stayed on the ground of the season. After having two days of 70 degree weather (UGH!), then yesterday being in the low 50s, I was happy to see the snow falling when I was at work this morning. The pine trees that stand in front of the library windows just look so pretty snow covered. We also had thundersnow, which scared all of us at the library. It shook the building! My parents said it shook the house too.

We won't be getting snow for Thanksgiving; the weather people didn't call for it, but we all know they lie at times. ;)  It's stopped now (I didn't take a walk - it got dark at 4:30 and didn't want to walk in the dark). I say we received an inch and a half of snow on the ground. Pretty. It'll be interesting to see what this winter brings to Pennsylvania.

  1. Much as I like to look at snow, I hope that we won't get any this winter, mainly because I have to rely on the bus to get to college!

I love your pictures in this post. :)

    1. Ah, yes, I remember those days! If it gets bad here, they cancel buses and schools here usually close as do businesses. I love snow days. :)

      Thank you!
