Monoxide Poems

I'm really loving the two French forms of poetry: the rondeau and the triolet. Let me know what you think!

#Monoxide Dreams

Tonight I want your love and kisses
when the sun sets and lights burn out;
I need to walk your path and reminisce.
Tonight I want your love and kisses
with you providing me strength as your missus,
holding me tight when growth leaves pouts.
Tonight I want your love and kisses
when the sun sets and lights burn out.

Following Dreams and Wishes

I only forgot about you once for a day,
the lesson was a hefty price to pay.
Oh, the unseasonable warm fall did not
kill me, the raging of the night not forgot
by lies, deception and heartbreak sway.

After autumn passed sitting by the bay,
writing you, confession, a turn, I pray-
turning up in relocation that could help a lot;
I only forgot about you once for a day.

Walking off the train, I sit in the cafe;
to Fraser then Roseville, you're only 8 away-
I think nothing matters but joy and a love knot;
a job easy, but loving you is a long shot,
my new life that I look forward to, yay!
I will never forget you again.

  1. I am giving up on Baudelaire - I tried hard to learn more French through his Flowers of Evil poetry, but it's almost useless. Russian and Latin/Greek are much too distracting.

    The start of your Monoxide Dreams poetry makes me think of the music video of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance.

    What do you mean by the line, "with you providing me strength as your missus"? I don't understand. Are you referring to the tax benefits?
    I also have no idea what you were trying to say with the succeeding line "holding me tight when growth leaves pouts." You aren't referring to the post-coital flaccidity of healthy penes, right?

    Okay, next poem... I can't even start to figure it out. I think I'll just hide back with my Marx. He makes sense.

    1. I love Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video! I didn't even think of that. No, no tax benefits... but the joy of being his. :D I'm just talking about the whole process of growing up and how uncertain it can be... he's being my rock and cheering me up. Maybe I'll change it to "comforting when my growth leaves me pout."
